Description

Pili Palas (Butterfly Palace), Wales' premier butterfly farm, is located just outside Menai Bridge town, on the Isle of Anglesey. The tropical house is home to a large collection of butterflies from around the world, and a selection of exotic birds, all flying free among a natural-looking environment of exotic plants and waterfalls.

There is also a reptile house with a variety of snakes, lizards, and insects from around the world, including iguana, dragons, skinks, geckos, tarantulas, scorpions, ants, giant snails, and frogs and toads.

Of particular interest to children is a pets corner area, containing rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, and rats. There is also a toddler's indoor play area, and an adventure playground for the older children.

A selection of light lunches and other home-made food is available in the Chipmunk Café, which overlooks the new chipmunk enclosure.
