Birth: June 2012
A baby male Tyra has been born.
Arrival: July 2011
Five young Zebras have arrived from zoos in Holland and Denmark. Three are Grant's Zebra and two are Damara Zebra.
Arrival: October 2010
A pair of young European Black Storks have arrived from private collections on the Continent, where they were born this year. They will hopefully form a successful breeding pair once mature.
Depart: September 2010
A young male Poitou Donkey called 'Vagabond d'Hamerton' is shortly to move to France as part of the breeding programme for this endangered species.

A group of 10 Greater Flamingos have arrived from a private collection on the Continent, where they were born.

A male Poitou Donkey called Sans Souci has arrived from a leading breeder in France, to join the existing 5 females.

Two baby Silvery Marmosets have been born
Death: November 2008
Geoff the 17-year-old male Aardwolf has sadly been put to sleep after becoming very weak and disorientated.

Tulipe, a 6-month-old Poitou Donkey has arrived from France.
More Alpacas have arrived, along with a Billy Goat.

The original male Binturong has sadly been put to sleep following a long illness.

More Miniature Donkeys have arrived.

Sahal the 2-year-old Poitou Donkey has sadly been put down, after losing the battle with her leg problem and her legs finally failed.

Several Scarlet Ibis chicks have hatched.

Four baby Capybara have been born.
Another baby male Alpaca has been born.

A male Miniature Donkey called Tomcat has arrived to join Kate for a breeding visit.

Bruno the male Cheetah has arrived back after a long visit to Colchester Zoo, where he sired 3 healthy cubs with their female.
A male Red River Hog has arrived from Howletts Wild Animal Park, to join the female that arrived in April.

A second Miniature Donkey called Jake has been born, to mum Kate.
A second group of Meerkat babies has been born.
A male baby Alpaca has been born.
Birth: May 2008
One male and 3 female Reindeer calves have been born.
A baby Collared Lemur has been born.
A baby Miniature Donkey called Charlie has been born to mum Suzy.
Three Great Grey Owl chicks and several Giant Wood Rail and White Stork chicks have hatched.

A female baby Camel called Zeana has been born to mother Naisa, the first at the zoo. The other abult female Camel, Karakai, has also given birth, to Veneta, also female.

Three pairs of Siberian Weasels.

Three separate litters of Corsac Fox cubs have been born. Several baby Meerkats have also been born.

The young male Pudu has gone to Chester Zoo.
A pair of young Alpaca have gone to Colchester Zoo.

Two more female Reindeer and another female Bactrian Camel called Mareille have arrived.

Three Black-backed Jackal pups have been born.

Seven baby Vlaamse Reus rabbits have been born.

Three new species of birds have arrived: Andean Goose, Cereopsis Goose, New Zealand Paradise Shelduck.
A pair of Bactrian Camels, called Nelis and Esme, have arrived to start a new breeding group.
Two female Reindeer have also arrived.

Three Reindeer, 1 male and 2 females, have arrived from Planckendael Zoo, Belgium.
