A baby Alaotran Gentle Lemur has been born, to mum Lelafo. Great news for this species, which is one of the most endangered of Lemur species. |

A male Cheetah called Jack has arrived to join Uria, in the hope that they will from a successful new breeding pair for the European breeding programme. |

A pair of baby Visayan Warty Pigs called Pebbles and BamBam have been born, to first-time parents Fred and Wilma and also the first of this species to be born at the Park. Other births this month include a litter of Pouched Rats and at least six Prairie Dogs. |

Two Humboldt Penguin chicks have hatched, and have been named Will and Kate after the Royal newlyweds. Other spring births this year include Choughs, Toco Toucans, soft bills, pigeons, doves and waterfowl. |

Three Dwarf Crocodiles have arrived and taken residence in the Underwater World aquarium. They replace the Caiman that have moved to a larger exhibit in another collection. |

A group of 30 African Penguins have arrived from Living Coast, Torquay, to take up residence in the new Penguin Beach aviary, which will also be home to other species such as Rock Doves and Ibis that are also indigenous to their native South African Robben Island area. |

Two Pallas's Cats have arrived from a private collection in Kent. They actually arrived last year, but have only now gone on show in their new enclosure. |

A total of three Eastern Bongo calves have been born. Mothers Willa and Fern gave birth to Maggie and Ruby in April, while Kimbiri gave birth to May, in May! Embu, the resident male, is father to all three. |

A total of 6 Ring-Tailed Lemur babies have been born; mothers Mo and Dot both gave birth to twins, named Gretl and Gimli, and Gremlin and Gizmo respectively, while Jewel and Ringo gave birth to one baby each. All of the mother were themsleves born at Belfast Zoo; Elton is the father to all 6 and arrived in 2009 from Whipsnade Zoo. |

A baby White Collared Lemur called Mirana has been born, to mum Harriet. Great news for this critically endangered species. Linton now has 7 of the 13 of this species in zoos across Europe. |
