A pair of Von Der Decken's Hornbills have arrived from Germany. The resident pair have bred successfully for the last five years, so the German pair, which have so far not been successful, have been brought to Cornwall to see whether the environment is a factor. |

Three Snow Leopard cubs have been born to parents Rocky and Enif. Two of the cubs are female, the other is male. |

A female African Elephant calf has been born, to first time mum Justa. Justa initially rejected her calf and the keepers had to hand-rear her. However, Justa's docile temperament allowed the calf to remain in the enclosure with her mother, who over the first week or so began to show signs of maternal behaviour. After two weeks the calf actually began feeding from her mother and the keepers were able to wean her off the feeding bottle. The mother-daughter bond continued to strengthen, and at 6 weeks old they were successfully reintroduced to the herd. |

Two female Striped Hyenas have arrived from The Breeding Centre for Endangered Wildlife in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, as part of the European breeding programme for this Near Threatened species. The sisters are 16 months old and are called Lexi and Luca. |

Mazumba, the female White Rhino who was born at the park in 2007, has moved to Beekse Bergen Safari Park in the Netherlands, as part of the European breeding programme for this species. |

Three young African Lions have arrived from Woburn Safari Park, where they were slowly being rejected by their pride. The group consists of a 3-year-old male called Bailey and two 6-year-old females called Malika and Naja. They are too closely related to form a breeding group. |
