Two female African Hunting Dogs have arrived from Duisburg Zoo, Germany, to join the two existing males. |

A baby male Orang Utan has been born, to parents Hsiao-Quai and Gordon. He has been named Jin, meaning 'handsome' in Chinese. |

Katavi the cheetah, who was hand reared following her birth in June last year, has sadly died. She suddenly became ill on 30 October with a suspected trauma to her spine or hind legs. A scan revealed an infection in the tissues around the vertebrae in her neck. Despite round the clock care and veterinary treatment her condition became worse, until the decision was taken to end her suffering by putting her to sleep. |

A baby L'Hoest Monkey has been born, to mum Biko and dad Chris. The baby is yet to be sexed, but has been named Moto (meaning 'fire' in Swahili). |

A male Wolverine called Sarka has arrived from Nordens Ark in Sweden, and begun his 6-month quarantine period. He will join Sharapova the female who arrived earlier this year and has now completed her quarantine period and is on show in her new enclosure. They are currently the only Wolverines in England. |

Leoni the Lioness has sadly died. She was unwell for a couple of days but the veterinary treatment could not prevent the heart failure that resulted from a growth around one of her valves. |
