Description
The Welsh Hawking Centre is located just outside Barry, South Glamorgan, on the A4226. Set among 12 acres of scenic parkland, the Welsh Hawking Centre is home to over 200 birds of prey, such as Eagles, Hawks, Falcons, Buzzards, and Owls. Some of these are used in the daily flying displays. The Centre is also one of the leading breeders of birds of prey in the country; visitors can see the results, and watch the babies being raised, especially during spring and summer.
The Welsh Hawking Centre also has a collection of traditional farm animals that are friendly enough to be stroked and fed by visitors. Many of these roam free in the park, and will approach visitors for food. There is also an adventure playground for the children.
